Cat Food FAQs
Most adult cats typically eat two to three sachets a day, but this depends on their age, weight and activity levels. If you’re mixing wet food with dry, you’ll need to adjust the portions to ensure they aren't getting too many calories. For tailored measurements, refer to our feeding guide here or on the back of your sachet.
It is not generally reccomended to give cats human food everyday. If you do offer human food as an occasional treat, stick to small amounts of plain, cooked white fish or chicken. Our complete recipes provide all the essential nutrients, including taurine, that cats need to stay happy and healthy.
Several common household foods are highly toxic to cats and should be kept well out of paw’s reach. This includes onions, garlic, chives and leeks, which can damage feline red blood cells. Grapes, raisins, chocolate and anything containing caffeine or the sweetener xylitol are also dangerous to cats. Even a small amount can cause serious illness. If you suspect your curious cat has nibbled on something they shouldn't have, contact your vet immediately.
Unopened canned cat food can be stored at room temperature, out of direct sunlight if possible. Once opened, canned cat food or sachets should be covered and kept in the fridge, used within 48 hours. Use a reusable silicone lid or beeswax wrap to keep the food from drying out and to stop smells from spreading.
